Services

Counseling:

Center Counseling offers individual, family, and group counseling services for all ages. Counseling is designed to manage emotional concerns, trauma, psychiatric disorders, and behavioral issues. Counseling begins with an assessment intake, development of treatment plan, and reviews of goals and objectives on a consistent basis. Our counselors have a variety of experience and expertise to best meet your needs.

Medication Management:

Center Counseling provides both child and adult psychiatric services. Psychiatric medication management includes an evaluation and follow up visits to monitor medications for emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric concerns.

EMDR:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess upsetting memories so they are less emotionally intense and no longer interfere with daily life. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to support the brain’s natural healing process. It is commonly used to treat trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other concerns.

Biofeedback:

Biofeedback is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals learn to better control their body’s natural stress responses. Using noninvasive sensors, biofeedback provides real-time information about physical processes such as heart rate, muscle tension, breathing, and skin temperature. With guidance from a trained therapist, clients learn skills to regulate these responses, improving relaxation, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. Biofeedback is commonly used to support treatment for anxiety, stress, trauma, chronic pain, headaches, and sleep difficulties.

Case Management:

Case Management is designed to assist individuals in finding needed resources throughout the community. These services are provided to individuals who are unable to navigate resources and services on their own and do not have natural supports to assist them in meeting these needs. Resources include financial, educational, housing, transportation, social, and other areas of concern.

Wraparound:

Wraparound Intensive Services (WInS) is a care coordination planning process which involves multiple systems and is intended to assist youth and families who may be experiencing high levels of need or are at risk of requiring more intensive services, including out-of-home placement. WInS is strengths based, culturally responsive, family-driven, youth-guided, has structured framework, and is implemented through a Child and Family Team (CFT) facilitated by a high-fidelity trained Wraparound Coordinator. Wraparound eligibility requires youth to have all the following (authorization required) 1. An overall CANS level score of 2 or 3. 2. Behavioral health involvement and involvement in at least one additional child serving system: Court involvement Child Protection Services (CPS) involvement Education needs (IEP, 504, or desire to improve child’s educational performance) Physical health needs Developmentally disabled or intellectually disabled needs 3. Youth and family desire to participate in the Wraparound care planning process. 4. Youth and family can benefit from intensive care coordination and/or have not experienced improvements with current care coordination.


Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS):

Therapeutic Behavioral Services is a specialized behavioral service for youth under the age of 18 who have behavioral challenges that could benefit from additional support. These services require additional authorization and provide additional time with the youth and family in teaching skills. TBS views all behavior as a pattern that has been learned over time and can be changed or shaped over time through consistent intervention, reinforcement of positive behavior, and support from the whole network of people around a youth.

Skills Building/Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS):

CBRS focuses on behavioral, social, communication, rehabilitation, and/or basic living skills training which is designed to build an individual’s competency and confidence while increasing functioning and decreasing mental health and/or behavioral symptoms. This service is for both adults and youth in helping in the following areas: Vocational/educational, financial, social, family, basic living skills, housing, anger management, community, health/medical. CBRS staff meet with individual in the community or home for a few hours each week. Prior authorization is required after a threshold of 308 units per calendar year is met for members 17 years old and younger. Prior authorization is required for members 18 years and older.

Youth Peer Support Services:

Peer/Youth Support is a recovery support service in which a Certified Peer Support Specialist utilizes their training, lived experience and experiential knowledge to mentor, guild and coach individuals (12-17 years old) to work to achieve self-identified recovery and resiliency goals. Youth Support focuses on being supportive rather than directive based. Youth Support specialists assist to help individuals decrease isolation and build community support.

Family Support:

Family Support is a recovery support service in which a Certified Family Support Specialist utilizes their training, lived experience, and experiential knowledge in working with children with a mental health diagnosis to mentor, guild, and coach families in their own recovery. They also assist the entire family unit with developing the skills for advocacy and the belief that recovery is possible.

Respite:

Respite care is in-person, short-term or temporary care for a youth provided in a safe environment that provides relief for the usual caretaker and that focuses on de-escalation of stressful situations. Respite is staffed by specialized caregivers with skills and training in working with children of all ages and mental health conditions. Center Counseling offers both individual and group respite care. In order to qualify for Respite services, child must complete an assessment from Liberty Healthcare (1-877-305-3469), meet Medicaid requirements, and have a Targeted Care Coordinator.

Parenting With Love and Limits:

Parenting with Love and Limits® (PLL) is a family-focused evidenced-based intervention for adolescents with a serious emotional disturbance (SED) or substance use disorder (SUD) diagnosis. The benefit is designed to help families re-establish adult authority through setting consistent limits and reclaiming loving relationships. PLL® consists of both multi-family group therapy sessions and individual family therapy coaching sessions. The PLL® program is curriculum-based and allows members to meet with other families who have similar issues. No prior authorization required.
